The Role
Key Responsibilities for the Materials Controller include:
* Coordinate material and equipment requirements from operational and engineering teams
* Manage supplier activity, lead times and delivery schedules
* Expedite orders and resolve supply or availability issues proactively
* Support material availability for operational and project delivery
* Create and manage orders within ERP and legacy systems
* Maintain accurate inventory and materials data
* Work closely with logistics teams to support site deliveries
* Support demand planning and identify supply risks or trends
* Escalate supplier performance or delivery concerns where required
* Operate effectively within a changing and evolving systems environment
The OrganisationAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Materials Controller for a 24m period with the potential to go permanent working on a supportive an established materials team.You'll work closely with engineering teams, suppliers, procurement and logistics colleagues to manage material flow, resolve supply issues and support operational delivery. You'll be joining a supportive team structure with strong exposure to large-scale supply chain operations and genuine opportunities for long-term progression.About You

The Materials Controller will have:
* Experience within materials control, supply chain, logistics, inventory or procurement support
* Experience coordinating suppliers and managing material availability
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Confidence working across systems, spreadsheets and manual processes
* The ability to prioritise effectively under pressure
* A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
