Our client requires an Interim Financial Controller to join the organisation and lead on thefirst-class delivery of key activities across the Financial Control team. Main Responsibilities: Key member of the team providing direction to the Finance team, build a high performing team, promote a culture of One Team and deliver a joined-up, first class service to the business. Lead, develop, motivate and support the people across the Financial Control teams within the Finance function. Lead the delivery of an efficient month end close across the Finance team and the wider Group. Develop and maintain appropriate processes and controls in relation to the timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions for the Group. Identify and implement improvements to the existing financial systems and processes in line with best practice to improve the efficiency & effectiveness of the Finance function, promoting an environment of continuous improvement. Assist with the selection and implementation of financial and other systems as required. Play a lead role in the audit, including being responsible for the timely and accurate production of the annual financial statements for the individual companies and consolidated group. Responsible for the production of month end balance sheets and ensuring timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations. Lead the timely & accurate production of Financial Information (including KPIs, key findings and insights) in relation to the balance sheet and reserves to help manage the financial performance of the organisation. Manage cash flow, including the production of cash flow forecasting over appropriate timeframes. Candidate Profile: Fully qualified accountant with a recognised accounting body (CAI, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA or equivalent) 3 years post qualification experience (from date of admission to the relevant accounting body) with a strong technical accounting background Successfully leading, developing and supporting people and building high performing teams 3 years experience in day to day finance operations / financial control environment, including identifying & implementing improvements with successful outcomes Playing a lead role in the timely completion of External Audits, including the production of Statutory Accounts Strong ICT skills, in particular Microsoft Excel (for financial modelling & analysis) and working with financial systems Reply Instructions If you feel you have the necessary skills and attributes for the role and are flexible on a start date please send your CV via the relevant method.
