Overview

Position: Technical Deployer - Trane UK Ltd - Scotland. This role is a national UK position focused on enhancing customer experience, driving sales opportunities, and providing exceptional customer service and technical support. It requires a blend of technical field knowledge, customer service expertise, and strong communication to support customers and internal teams, with a focus on process improvement and cross-functional collaboration to maximize sales potential and productivity.


Responsibilities

* Proactive Planning and Allocation: plan and allocate technicians to customer site visits based on skill sets, project work, installations, decommissioning and breakdowns as required.
* Support a high-volume workload across the UK to meet customer needs while providing technical support to technicians.
* Ensure work orders are processed in a timely manner and communicated to technicians.
* Attend customer sites to perform technical work or support technicians on customer jobs when required.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers as a trusted point of contact.
* Collaborate with Rental, Sales and Operations teams; share key customer insights.
* Foster excellent customer service to manage customer relationships.
* Diagnose system problems when installing or servicing products and equipment on assigned projects as needed on customer site visits.


Internal Controls and Administration

* Maintain strong communication with Sales, Hire, Marketing, Operations and Backoffice teams.
* Proven experience in a service or field-based technician role is advantageous.
* Demonstrate ability to apply project, building specifications and designs.
* Motivate technicians to deliver positive customer experiences; maintain effective interpersonal skills.
* Communicate effectively and apply analytical thinking and problem-solving.
* Proficiency in using apps, diagnostic software, and MS Office Suite.
* Identify opportunities to improve capturing sales opportunities during customer care interactions.
* Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of customer care interactions to measure probing effectiveness and identify improvements.
* Ensure accurate transfer of information for follow-up via CRM and other systems.
* Produce regular reports and act as a technical support troubleshooter in line with internal procedures.
* Assist service/rental desk and customer care teams with administration during peak times.


Skills and Capabilities

* Proven technical, electrical and mechanical knowledge in HVAC as a technician, controls or Sales Engineer with strong customer care experience.
* Customer service knowledge and fulfillment principles.
* Knowledge of HVAC products is advantageous.
* Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
* Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in using CRM systems, MS Office Suite; familiarity with field service time and attendance systems is a plus.
* Strong people skills and a positive mindset; ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Confirmed right to work in the country of application for the duration of employment; UK driving licence.
* Able to travel across the UK and prepared to work out of hours on call as per rota.
* Health and safety knowledge; knowledge of relevant regulations; F-gas knowledge is an advantage.
