Overview
ViiV Healthcare is the global leader in scientific innovation in HIV, focused on developing new treatment and prevention options. This role, Global Market Access Director, ViiV Pipeline, shapes the market access strategy for a dynamic HIV pipeline, including long-acting therapies, novel mechanisms, prevention innovations, and future treatment paradigms. The position ensures payer, HTA, and policy expectations are embedded early to enable timely, equitable, and sustainable access through value recognition at launch and beyond. The Global Pricing and Market Access team aims to enable patient access to life-changing medicines.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Global Pricing and Market Access Strategy for ViiV Healthcare's HIV pipeline, with a focus on pre-launch and launch-readiness across treatment and prevention assets.
* Shape early access strategy by embedding payer, HTA, and policy requirements into target product profiles (TPPs), development plans, and indication sequencing.
* Assess pricing and reimbursement potential across priority markets, identifying risks, opportunities, and evidence needs well ahead of launch.
* Inform and influence evidence generation strategy, ensuring alignment with future payer and HTA expectations, including clinical endpoints, comparators, real-world evidence, and health economic outcomes.
* Develop Global Payer Value propositions that articulate the clinical, economic, and societal value of pipeline innovations.
* Provide market access leadership within Integrated Asset Planning, ensuring access considerations are central to development decision-making and portfolio prioritisation.
* Partner with Global Medical, Regulatory, Commercial, Government Affairs, Insights, and Health Outcomes teams to align on future stakeholder needs in the evolving HIV landscape.
* Represent the payer and market access perspective on Early Commercial Teams for pipeline assets.
* Anticipate future policy, funding, and health system dynamics, including prevention strategies and innovative contracting models relevant to HIV.
* Develop and deploy tools, frameworks, and guidance to prepare Regions and LOCs for future launches, ensuring consistent and high-quality access planning.
* Manage external partners and vendors supporting pipeline access workstreams, delivering outputs on time and within budget, in line with governance requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
* Significant experience in Pricing and Market Access, including LOC delivery with a focus on pipeline, early-stage, or pre-launch strategy.
* Demonstrated success in shaping global or regional access strategies for innovative, differentiated medicines.
* Deep understanding of HTA, payer decision-making, pricing policy, and reimbursement systems across major markets.
* Strong knowledge of how regulatory and development decisions influence future access and value.
* Degree qualified in Science, Medicine, Health Economics, Health Policy, or Business.
* Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders in a complex, matrix environment and to partner with LOCs for success.
* Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
* MBA or Master\'s degree in a scientific, economic, or health-related discipline (e.g. Health Economics).
* Experience in HIV, infectious diseases, prevention, or specialty medicines.
* Experience in long-acting therapies, novel modalities, and shaping highly innovative development programmes.
* Experience in evolving HTA/payer criteria to capture additional value elements.
