Role Specification: We’re looking for a detail‑driven and commercially minded Revenue Accountant to join our small Bristol finance team. This is a key role for someone who enjoys owning processes, improving reporting, and working closely with operational teams to ensure revenue is recognised accurately and efficiently. As our Revenue Accountant, you’ll take responsibility for the integrity of our revenue reporting and play a central part in month‑end close. You will coordinate billing processes across US and European operations, taking responsibility for day-to-day transaction processing, cash collection, monthly revenue and sales order reporting. You’ll analyse performance, support forecasting, and help the business understand the financial impact of its decisions. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to step into an end-to-end revenue role with real influence and visibility. We’re looking for a hands-on, sharp, curious, and commercially focused accountant who will need to be adaptable to change and eager to learn, relishing new challenges as our business grows and evolves. Key responsibilities: ● Preparing and issuing multicurrency sales invoices in complex medical insurance environment across D2C and B2B channels ● Allocating payments and managing credit control ● Coordinating sales order processing across all channels ● Owning the revenue recognition process in line with internal policies and accounting standards, including warranty accounting ● Preparing monthly revenue journals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules ● Accounting for output VAT and overseas sales taxes (as required) ● Monitoring sales order pipelines and analysing revenue trends and variances, providing insight to senior finance and operational teams ● Working closely with sales and clinical operations to ensure billing reflects accurate contract data ● Supporting budgeting and forecasting for revenue streams, including KPI montoring ● Providing input into international pricing strategy ● Continuous improvement of processes and reporting tools to support the business Person Scorecard: Essential: ● 3-5 years’ experience in a revenue accounting or management accounting role ● Familiarity with group accounting in a multicurrency environment ● Excellent Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets ● High attention to detail and a proactive, problem‑solving mindset ● Ability to communicate clearly with non‑finance colleagues ● Qualified or part-qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA) ● Able to commute daily to our modern Bristol City Centre office Desirable: ● Experience with Netsuite or similar ERP software ● Experience implementing BI tools (PowerBI, Looker Studio, or similar) ● Experience in a product-driven tech business ● Experience working in a start-up company What we offer: ● Competitive salary ● 32 days annual leave (including bank holidays) ● Additional day of leave: moving house/ getting married ● Study support ● Company pension scheme ● Cycle 2 work Scheme ● 50% subsidised Gym/Sports membership/exercise classes ● Reimbursement for professional accreditations ● Free fruit/ tea & coffee in office To Apply 1) Visit our website https://openbionics.com/ and click ‘Careers' where you can apply. 2) Write a Covering Letter explaining why you are suitable for the role.
