Teaching Personnel are seeking a committed and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support a mainstream school in the BL4 area of Bolton. This position involves working within the school’s exclusion unit, providing targeted behaviour support, and offering additional classroom-based assistance when required.
The Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
* Support pupils who are at risk of exclusion or presenting challenging behaviours
* Work within a small, focused exclusion provision to help reintegrate pupils back into lessons
* Provide 1:1 and small-group interventions
* Assist in classrooms alongside teachers and SEN staff
* Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and emotional regulation
* Contribute to behaviour plans and personalised support strategies
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone with:
* Experience supporting pupils with SEN, including SEMH, complex behaviours, and learning difficulties
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
* Experience in a school, PRU, alternative provision, or youth work (highly desirable)
* A genuine desire to make a positive difference to young people’s lives

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
