An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Out of Hours Service, who provide person-centred and strengths-based care and support to adults throughout the Calderdale region.

We are inviting applications from both people with previous managerial experience and also from those people who have relevant transferrable skills and experience, who are looking for the next step in their career.

Your role will predominantly involve working during normal business hours Monday-Friday, however you must be available to work nights and weekends, to support the delivery of service when needed.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a strong understanding of person-centred values and the ability to embed these into the practices of the team. You need to have direct experience of providing care and support to people (In either a paid or voluntary capacity) and have good communication and organisational skills to maintain records, write reports and assess needs.

You will be required to work under the direction of the Home Care Manager to assist in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the Out of Hours Service. The role will consist of a diverse range of responsibilities which will include providing line management to staff, organising rotas, assisting with quality monitoring, assessment, and involvement in the day-to-day delivery of direct care to the people we support when needed.

Your qualities will include:

* Enthusiasm and a positive attitude that will enhance the positive experiences of staff and the people we work with.
* Ability to demonstrate excellent practice in your work.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to use your own initiative.
* A flexible approach to meet the changing needs of the service.
* Demonstrable IT Skills.
* Hold a full UK driving licence.

We want you to feel supported in your role and confident in your responsibilities. A full and robust induction will be provided, along with ongoing learning and development opportunities to enable you to continue to grow and develop your practice competence and skills.
