Location: York
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum
Contract: Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)
Start Date: 01 September 2026
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Teacher of PE for a fixed term maternity cover in a secondary school in York.

This York secondary school promotes health, wellbeing and participation in sport. The PE department is well resourced and encourages pupils to develop teamwork, resilience and physical confidence alongside academic progress.
Responsibilities
* Deliver PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Promote participation in extracurricular sport
* Maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement
* Monitor and assess pupil progress
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status
* Experience teaching PE in a UK secondary setting
* Ability to inspire and motivate pupils
