Teaching Assistant – SEMH School – Primary • £450 - £500 Per Week • Walsall

This SEMH school is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team, supporting primary-aged pupils who need help to re-engage with learning and develop confidence in the classroom.
As a Teaching Assistant in this setting, you will work alongside experienced teachers and a supportive SEN team to provide both 1-2-1 and small group interventions. The role involves helping pupils to regulate emotions, build positive relationships, and develop essential academic and social skills. Every day brings new challenges and rewards, making this an ideal opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with SEMH and additional needs.
Responsibilities
* Supporting primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs on a 1-2-1 and small group basis.
* Working closely with teachers and teaching assistants to deliver targeted interventions.
* Helping pupils to develop self-regulation and positive learning behaviours.
* Using empathy and patience to build trust and encourage engagement in lessons.
* Recording progress, monitoring emotional wellbeing, and sharing updates with the SENCO.
* Creating a safe and supportive learning space where every pupil can thrive.
