Our client, a highly respected Top 100 UK accountancy practice, is seeking an experienced Client Manager to join their Outsourcing team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a portfolio of diverse and growing businesses, helping them streamline their finance operations and make informed decisions through data-driven insights.
The Role:
As Client Manager, you’ll take responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of outsourcing clients. You’ll oversee delivery of outsourced accounting, management reporting, VAT, and advisory services, while mentoring junior team members and ensuring a first-class client experience.
You’ll be at the forefront of digital finance, leveraging leading cloud-based tools such as Xero, QuickBooks, Apron, Silverfin, and Fathom to drive efficiency and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, delivering bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT, CIS, and related services
* Review management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and KPI reporting
* Act as a trusted adviser to clients, providing strategic financial and process improvement insights
* Identify opportunities to enhance client services and add value through advisory offerings
* Oversee and support junior team members, fostering professional growth
* Collaborate with other internal teams, including Tax, Audit, and Payroll
* Ensure full compliance with accounting and VAT standards
About You:
* ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with 2–4 years’ post-qualification experience
* Background in an accountancy practice, ideally within Outsourcing
* Strong experience managing client relationships and delivering to deadlines
* Excellent knowledge of cloud accounting systems (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks Online)
* Confident leader with strong communication and mentoring skills
* Passionate about digital transformation and process improvement
