YOUR IMPACT
As an Equities Funding Controller you will take ownership of the day to day product control function for EMEA Prime Services (Physical Securities lending and Synthetic Financing) as well as Global Equities Treasury ALM Funding and other Equities Direct Allocations P&L. You will develop an in-depth understanding of daily P&L reconciliations and break resolutions, all Product Control month-end responsibilities, including but not limited to Valuation Adjustments and Price Verification and ensuring Fair Value Hierarchy accuracy, as well as all Balance Sheet and Financial Disclosure reporting inputs and where impacting regulatory reporting.

Funding Controllers is part of the broader Controller Division which is a global team responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the firm's financial and regulatory information byplying with the rules and regulationserning financial markets worldwide. As well as managing both internal and external financial reporting, our expertise plays a key role in the firm's business planning decisions around allocation of scarce financial resources such as capital and balance sheet. We partner with the business in providing advice on accounting, valuation, capital, liquidity, reputational risk and other regulatory considerations when executing business with our clients. HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
1. Preparing the daily profit and loss account for trading desks, involving an assessment of the nature of revenue generated in the context of market moves and risk held as well as reconciliation between front office systems and sub-ledger as well as the firm's general ledger.
2. Producing and reviewing profit and loss attribution andmentary for the bank's trading, investing and new issuance businesses.
3. Participate in strategic initiatives to improve process flows and analysis as well as proactively seeking opportunities to improve workflows.
4. Intelligently reviewing trading activity to help assess the valuation of the portfolio and to highlight anything unusual or material to management.
5. Monthly price verification review and challenge of trader inputs into inventory pricing as well as incremental assessment of less observable inputs.
6. Preparing monthly accounts for posting to the firm's general ledger and producing/reviewing relevant external disclosures.
7. To interact effectively and pro-actively with traders and their management on current business issues.
8. Assessing risk inherent in trading positions, whether market,pliance or reputational risk etc.
9. Developing an in-depth knowledge of products and market awareness.
10. Ensuringpliance with all the Firm's financial reporting requirements.
11. Account and monitor for the Firm's secured and unsecured financing activities.
12. Liaising with other departments in a collaborative and problem-solving capacity.
13. To be fully informed of all department developments and issues in their trading areas.
14. Preparing, analysing, reviewing and presentation of the estimated daily balance sheet for European entities under USGAAP and IFRS.
15. Understanding of the impact of Regulatory Capital rules on a trading desk's ongoing and new business and proactively working to identify solutions.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
16. Recently qualified accountant - ACA or equivalent ( CFA)
17. Proven experience in financial markets/products
18. Ability to interact and build relationships with people from different departments and all levels of seniority
19. Strong analytical skills and control mindset
20. Track record of improving processes and adding value to clients/stakeholders
21. Exposure to Equities products and Fair Value Accounting an advantage
