About the opportunity: We are seeking a Receptionist to join our team based within The People’s Hub Facility.In your role you will be the first point of contact for visitors to The People’s Hub facility; greeting, providing advice, information and assistance to our diverse visitorsAs Receptionist you will assist with the day to day co-ordination of all other activities and room bookings within the buildings and provide support to programme managers with reception matters when needed.Other key responsibilities will include: To provide first class levels of customer service, building rapport and relationships with customers, staff, visitors and participants, and ensuring that all enquiries are dealt with in a friendly, courteous and professional mannerTo identify the specific nature of any queries, whether face to face or over the telephone, and apply the appropriate action responseTo be responsible for all incoming and outgoing mail, including special deliveries, couriers, franking machines and internal distributionTo check and sign for deliveries, before informing the relevant member of staff of their arrival. Deliveries by post or courier will include valuable items (cash, passports), so procedures must be followed to ensure security of valuablesTo keep a record of staff and visitors signing in and out of the buildingTo develop and maintain spreadsheets or databases containing various participant/stakeholder data indicating usage and frequency of activitiesTo provide ongoing support with room set up for external meetings, always ensuring rooms portray a professional image and are “fit for purpose”.Safeguarding To understand the Club’s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines. To use this understanding to ensure safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to an Anti-bullying environment. Who we are looking for: We are looking for an individual who has a strong understanding of good customer service delivery and is committed to always providing excellent customer service.You must have excellent inter-personal skills with an ability to build rapport and positive relationships.Our successful candidate will also demonstrate the below skills and experience: Highly Computer literate (with excellent abilities on Word, Excel and ideally Database knowledge and application).Ability to work independently and with internal and external teamsStrong administration, organisational and planning skillsAbility to effectively manage customer & staff relationships, promptly respond to queries, ensure promises are kept and manage expectationsApproachable and empathic, with excellent communication skills and a strong sense of team spirit.This position will be offered on Fixed Term Contract, with the role being based in our People’s Hub facility which is located in our Everton in the Community campus.
