We are looking for an enthusiastic and nurturing person to join our supportive team in our highly successful and popular primary school. We wish to appoint a Nurture Assstant and Learning Support Assistant, (term time only), starting as soon as possible, to provide 30 hours support each week. This includes midday play supervision. This roles involves part of the day supporting the learning of the children in the classroom and part of the day helping to run our successful nurture group provision.
The successful candidate will:
1. Be an outstanding, enthusiastic, nurturing practitioner who will bring their own style and skills to support the excellent work developed throughout the school.
2. Have the skills, experience and knowledge to work with our pupils.
3. Have a good standard of general education, with a GCSE, (or equivalent), in both English and maths.
4. Preferably have an NVQ CACHE Level 2 or 3 for Teaching Assistants.
5. Have a good understanding of current educational thinking and initiatives.
6. Be a caring, understanding person with a sense of humour, who loves working with children and who is committed to supporting high standards and enjoyment of learning.
7. Have a good understanding of, and desire to effectively support, children with additional needs.
8. Have the ability to work in a close team to achieve the best for our children and school community.
9. Have a desire to be involved in all aspects of school life.
10. Be approachable, committed, enthusiastic, positive, self-motivated, well-organised and able to work in a team.
11. Be of the belief that all children can do well and have a desire to help them achieve.
12. Be committed to the highest possible expectations and pupil outcomes.
13. Be ambitious and committed to your own professional development.
14. Be innovative and committed to school improvement.
15. If you can demonstrate the above, then this may be the role for you. The role would require you to work in the nurture group every afternoon alongside the nurture group leader.
