Agricultural & Rural Branch Supervisor (Retail Maternity Cover)
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Branch Supervisor to provide maternity cover for our dynamic team at our busy and expanding Country Store in Cockermouth.

THE JOB
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a high-performing retail team, drive sales, and create memorable experiences for customers, all while supporting the overall growth of our business.
What you'll be doing:
* Taking the reins of the Retail Team, maximising sales opportunities across the site while maintaining high customer service standards.
* Working closely with the Branch Manager to drive sales performance and profitability, hitting key targets and helping achieve business goals.
* Leading by example, ensuring every retail colleague is equipped to offer the best customer service and optimise sales opportunities in the branch.
* Championing talent within the team by providing coaching, support, and guidance to develop colleagues' skills.
* Manage Stock & Debt: Work alongside the Retail Sales Manager and Inventory Manager to manage stock effectively.
* Ensure Operational Excellence: When the Branch Manager is away, you'll ensure that all daily, weekly, and monthly operating procedures are adhered to.
* Adhere to Company and Group policies and procedures, including but not limited to those relating to Safety, Health and Environmental.
* To ensure all relevant legislation and approved codes of practice, are adhered to in respect of ongoing compliance.
Skills, Experience And Qualities Required
Essential:
* A natural leader who knows how to motivate a team and drive performance.
* Strong commercial awareness, with a focus on maximising sales and profitability.
* Passion for customer service with the ability to consistently inspire your team to provide outstanding service.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and develop individuals.
* Experience in managing stock and customer debt, ensuring targets and policies are met.
Desirable:
* Agricultural experience.
* AMTRA RAMA
* IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
* Competent of using Microsoft applications systems and fully IT literate.
* Previous experience of using D365
