The shift pattern for this position is 5/7 per week, 8:00-16:00 or 8:30-16:30.
Applicants must hold a current NMC UK pin.
This role is based primarily at HMP Greenock, with potential movement between four prison sites to meet service needs. The successful candidate will deliver mental health nursing services within a multidisciplinary team, supporting assessments and interventions for patients, and contributing to continuous service development.
Essential Criteria
* Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) educated to degree level or equivalent.
* Experience in a relevant clinical setting.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.
* Understanding of legal and professional accountability, including the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Proficiency in IT.
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Willingness to complete Non-Medical Prescribing training.
* Full driving license.
Desirable Criteria
Knowledge of prison healthcare needs related to primary care, mental health, women’s health, and addiction support, with the ability to work across these areas.
