At Farnborough International we are known for running one of the world’s biggest and most prestigious Airshows. Whilst we will continue to build on every airshow, we’re also on a journey to become much more than this. In June 2024, Farnborough International launched a new aerospace media programme spearheaded by an online news channel called Aerospace Global News (AGN) www.aerospaceglobalnews.com Serving the information needs of the international aerospace and space industries, it has enjoyed exponential growth in website traffic and is one of the fasting growing media brands in the sector. We are now ready for the next phase in the evolution of this ambitious programme and seek a digital media sales leader to help perpetuate our significant commercial growth curve. The Advertising Sales Manager will join our Partnership Development team and help drive the growth of our media brands through digital advertising, sponsorship and ancillary revenue streams. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals, developing and executing sales strategies that deliver significant revenue growth and contributing to the strategic direction of the company. What do you need to be successful? Experience in a B2B media sales environment Can demonstrate strong achievements in media sales Can build pipeline but is ninja-like in closing the deal Knows there way around the London media buying scene Can formulate a winning presentation and understands digital media Is familiar with media evaluation metrics, tools, research and insights. Has experience with consultative sales of service-led offerings, including development of complex multi-product bespoke proposals. Has a strong track record of achieving sales targets, including both new business and account growth. Experience or knowledge of the Aerospace sector is a plus but is not essential Can demonstrate experience in learning about a new sector or technology area to build trust and legitimacy with prospects to enable effective, in-depth consultative conversations. To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, a thorough understanding of the media landscape, and a proven track record of sales achievement.
