What you’ll be doing day to day.
Providing health advice through focused conversations with patients, ensuring clear and accurate answers.
Your duties will include:
1. Tailoring conversations to ensure customers leave feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
2. Handling technical dispensary tasks such as ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
3. Complying with legal and professional standards in Boots.
4. Engaging with GPs and practice teams to promote services and products.
5. Ensuring efficient dispensary operations and minimizing losses.
What you’ll need to have.
Applicants should have an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services and previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser. Completion of a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent is required; training will be supported if not already completed.
Opportunities for further development include achieving NVQ Level 3 (QCF) in Pharmacy Services and registering with GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician, potentially progressing to an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) role. Salary and benefits will reflect your qualifications and roles.
