Procurement Advisor
As Procurement Advisor, you will ensure the council’s objectives are met in a compliant manner and to the highest professional standards, supporting the service strategies and leading strategic procurement projects.
Responsibilities
* Ensure service delivery aligns with council objectives and complies with legislation.
* Accountable for the delivery of strategic procurement projects and support development of service strategies.
* Manage the commissioning cycle, delivering best‑practice procurement and e‑procurement solutions.
Qualifications
* Full member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Level 5, or equivalent procurement qualification or working towards it.
* Experience in procurement, finance, or commissioning environments and knowledge of the full procurement lifecycle.
* Knowledge of contracting strategies and public sector procurement legislation.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Strong analytical and data management skills.
* Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
