Job summary
Mount Farm Surgery has an opportunity for a clinical admin clerk to join our busy practice support team and assist in the smooth delivery of excellent patient care. This role is offered on a part-time basis for a minimum 30 hours per week, however this is negotiable up to full-time (37 hours per week) for the right candidate.

Main duties of the job
* Undertaking a variety of administrative duties including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team.
* Data entry, read coding and summarising of relevant patient information and medical data into the clinical system.
* Scanning patient information into computerised records, including medical documents, hospital records and letters, as necessary.
* Allocating workflow for review by doctors or other health professionals.
* Type letters, reports and clinical correspondence accurately and within agreed timescales
* Process referrals using the electronic referral system (ERS), SystmOne and DXS
* Liaise with hospitals, community services and external agencies
* Processing practice post and emails.
* Registering new patients.
* Accurately code clinical information using SNOMED CT
* Ensure data quality to support audits, reporting, patient safety and QOF
* Ensure the recall systems in place are dealt with in a timely manner, and communications are sent to patients when due
* Handling enquiries efficiently.
