Senior Quantity Surveyor – Manchester – Flagship Projects – Up to £80,000 salary Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 contractors team on a major Construction Management flagship project. This role offers a career-enhancing opportunity to take full commercial responsibility across all project stages, ensuring effective cost control and value optimisation. The successful candidate will manage procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, and subcontract works packages through to final account. You will provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and risk management, proactively minimising risk and cost while maximising value through detailed cost checking and analysis of labour, plant, and materials. Close collaboration with project teams is essential to deliver projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities: • Lead commercial management throughout all project phases to ensure cost control and value optimisation • Manage procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, and subcontract packages to final account • Provide accurate cost forecasting, reporting, and risk management • Analyse labour, plant, and material costs to minimise risk and maximise value • Collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders to meet project objectives Candidate Requirements: • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on large-scale, major projects • Prior experience on Construction Management projects • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline • Membership or working towards membership of RICS or equivalent professional body (desirable) • Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
