We are looking for a Senior Staff Nurse to join our strong Paediatric nursing workforce, which is essential in providing high-quality care to children and young people. As a senior staff nurse, you will support this vision, develop new staff, and work alongside the MDT in daily decision-making for children and young people. You will also have opportunities to develop professionally through various learning opportunities, with guidance and support from your line manager and the Paediatric Development Team across the directorate. You may be asked to cross-cover sites to other areas to ensure a safe and effective skill mix across all paediatric departments.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Providing high standards of holistic care for patients within your responsibility.
2. Acting as the designated deputy for the Sister/Charge nurse.
3. Serving as the operational manager in their absence.
4. Supporting the assessment and supervision of student nurses and preceptoring newly qualified nurses.
This role is based at Epsom and St Helier.
