Salary: Pro rata of £26,716 - £41,659 per annum (i.e. £10,686.40 - £16,663.60)
Work Pattern: 14.8 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer to join our Musical Theatre team across higher and further education. We are looking for a Lecturer with a focus on Musical Director and Singing.
As a Lecturer in Musical Theatre, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning to our FE and HE students. Your expertise and enthusiasm will ignite their passion for the industry, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in this exciting sector. This role will focus equally on our HE and FE courses.
Musical Theatre subject experience and delivery to include:
1. Delivery of Vocal technique to levels 3, 4, 5, 6
2. Delivery of Choral technique and skills
3. Accompanist (piano) for Sessions, Cabarets, Full Scale Musicals and Showcases
4. Musically Direct Band for Musicals
5. Musical Direction of a typically two productions per year.
6. Music theory
7. Ability to sight read Piano and Voice
Essential requirements:
8. Relevant industrial / commercial / subject experience (see above for Musical theatre subject experience)
9. Working knowledge of vocal techniques, music direction and sight reading of piano and voice (see above)
10. Level 6 or equivalent in related subject
11. Ability to work alone and as part of a team with interpersonal skills
12. Innovative and creative in meeting the needs of learners
