What you'll do
You will oversee the Digital (Groceries Online) capacity expansion strategy through network, location, and capacity planning modelling. Responsibilities include managing and updating the online store network capacity model to reflect operational realities, developing a live network plan for strategic property and capacity planning, collaborating with stakeholders to identify investment opportunities, and managing the financial viability of capacity investment programs. You will also identify tactical opportunities to alleviate capacity constraints and optimise delivery territories. Your analytical skills, GIS knowledge, and ability to communicate complex analyses to senior stakeholders will be crucial.

You are a highly analytical and strategic professional with experience in location planning and analytics within retail. Your expertise in handling large datasets, developing models, and using GIS tools enables you to drive capacity expansion strategies, ensuring optimal network planning and property investment decisions. You possess excellent communication skills and can collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, shaping the future of Sainsbury's digital customer experience through data-driven insights and strategic initiatives.
Essential skills
* Strong analytical skills with experience working with large datasets and developing complex models (Excel, SQL).
* Proficiency in Geographical Information Systems, preferably ArcPro, with spatial thinking in analysis and appraisal.
* Ability to apply GIS skills to present, interpret, and model spatial data, integrating geographic considerations into decision-making.
* Experience in retail property and location planning industry.
* Good knowledge of UK geography.
* Strong PowerPoint skills to present complex analysis clearly to senior stakeholders.
