🤑£90K–£120K + Bonus

OB are currently partnered with a Series A business building data infrastructure for real-world asset monitoring.


They ingest and process large-scale datasets to generate insights across portfolio companies, combining backend systems, data pipelines, and applied ML.


The Role:

Hands-on backend engineer focused on building and scaling data systems and services that underpin the core product.


Responsibilities:

* Build and scale backend services handling high-volume data ingestion
* Design and maintain robust data pipelines and processing systems
* Work closely with ML and product teams to productionised data-driven features
* Improve system performance, reliability, and observability
* Contribute to architectural decisions as the platform scales


Requirements:

* Strong Python experience in backend or data-heavy environments
* Experience building scalable data pipelines and distributed systems
* Solid understanding of databases, data modelling, and APIs
* Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, GCP or similar)
* Experience with OLAP and OLTP databases.
* Comfortable working in a fast-moving, product-focused team

Requirements / constraints

London-based, hybrid working. Right to work in the UK required.
