We are seeking individuals with experience in mental health, emotional and behavioural disorders, social and emotional needs, SEMH, and challenging behaviour. These roles are ideal for those passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes. As a Behavioural Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will: Support pupils presenting with SEMH needs, behavioural challenges, anxiety, trauma-related behaviours, and emotional dysregulation * Work 1:1 or with small groups to promote emotional wellbeing, self-regulation, and positive behaviour * Use de-escalation strategies, restorative approaches, and behaviour support techniques * Assist teaching staff in creating personalised support plans and adapting learning activities * Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and resilience * Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment * Support with daily routines, pastoral care, and behaviour intervention strategiesWe Offer: £13.68 per hour * Flexible working patterns (daily supply, part-time, full-time) * Long-term and temp-to-perm roles available * Opportunities across primary, secondary, and post-16 provisions * Ongoing CPD and training, including behaviour management and SEMH development * A dedicated consultant for ongoing support and guidanceIf you are passionate about supporting learners with behavioural and social-emotional needs, we would love to hear from you.
