Overview
Professional Skills Training Manager role at HM Revenue & Customs. This role supports RIS Analysis capability by shaping the face-to-face and digital training and development for analysts in the Data Analysis (DA) and Intelligence Analysis (IA) professions, and across directorates within Customer Compliance Group for corporate systems such as ICE and Protect Connect.
Base pay range and terms are described by the hiring range and benefits, with travel required and regular overnight stays; this role is not suitable for a homeworker.

* Base £45,544

To be considered
To be considered for this role, your application must demonstrate all of the following:
* Proven and demonstrable leadership skills.
* Experience in developing and delivering professional skills training content, including but not limited to presentation skills, verbal and written communication, negotiation, listening skills, teamwork & collaboration, emotional intelligence, influencing and persuading, both face to face and digitally (for example, using MS Teams).
* Proven experience of aligning personal or team efforts to wider strategies or priorities.
* Excellent problem-solving and organisational capabilities.
* Be able to motivate, engage and inspire trainees.
* Be able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, building strong relationships to achieve successful outcomes.
* A formal qualification in learning and development, i.e, CIPD.
* Experience using digital learning tools such as DominKnow and Kallidus for developing and delivering training.
Responsibilities
* Leading and managing a small team of Professional Skills Trainers.
* Ensuring delivery of Professional Skills courses to the Intelligence and Data Analysis Professions and wider, across HMRC.
* Development of new training courses to fill training requirements for the IA and DA Professions.
* Planning and managing the organisation of training courses.
* Observations of associate trainers against recognised training standards, giving appropriate feedback to assist associate trainers’ development and maintain high standards of delivery.
* Working collaboratively to ensure training products will deliver outputs that provide consistent, significant upskilling of staff and lead to operational benefits.
* Maintaining RAPA core principles of delivery, in both face-to-face and digital events, to ensure the provision of a supportive and inclusive training environment.
* Ensuring that all delivery and development is monitored for efficiencies and continual improvement through innovation.
* Sharing best practice with stakeholders in RAPA, HMRC and across government where necessary.
* Management and leadership of trainer pool/allocating trainers to scheduled courses.
