Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Bus Driver to operate passenger vehicles safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and experience in commercial driving. This role involves transporting passengers along designated routes, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent driving skills, a clean driving record, and the ability to maintain the vehicle's condition through basic maintenance tasks.
Duties
* Safely operate buses along assigned routes, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations
* Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing excellent customer service
* Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working order
* Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
* Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and vehicle condition
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and passengers using clear language
* Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies at all times
* Handle delivery or transportation of goods if required, demonstrating versatility as a driver
Experience
* Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is preferred
* Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
* Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
* Experience in operating buses or similar large vehicles is highly desirable
* Excellent communication skills in English, capable of interacting professionally with passengers and team members
* Familiarity with vehicle safety protocols and routine maintenance procedures
