Lead on the development of the Pathway’s provision, ensuring highly effective and successful study programmes, and a coherent approach to supporting learners with their specific needs. Create a Pathway, which supports transition in and progression out, and make effective use of all resources to ensure a person-centred approach to learning in order to maximise learner progress.
Responsibilities and accountabilities
1. Teach a caseload of 5 hours per week.
2. Line manage a Pathway team of teachers and a Deputy Curriculum Manager to ensure the effective deployment of teachers, to maximise learner progress.
3. Lead, plan and manage the Pathway curriculum, liaising with other managers to ensure the effective coordination of all elements of the study programme.
4. Work closely with the Safeguarding & Behaviour and Clinical Teams to ensure that the management of behaviour in the Pathway continues to be outstanding.
5. Lead on the development of enterprise and employability activities with the employability team and external partners, to create exciting opportunities within the curriculum, informed by the expertise of employers.
