This is an excellent opportunity for an Audit Senior to join a forward-thinking firm in Ilford. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services, supporting junior staff, and building trusted client relationships.
The Role
As Audit Senior, you’ll lead audit assignments from planning to completion, ensuring that work is delivered accurately, efficiently, and in line with professional standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading audit engagements for a broad range of clients across multiple sectors.
* Planning audits and identifying key risk areas.
* Completing fieldwork, reviewing files, and ensuring all audit work meets required standards.
* Supervising and supporting junior team members onsite and in the office.
* Preparing year-end statutory accounts and associated documentation.
* Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide updates throughout the audit process.
* Reporting findings to managers and partners and contributing to final audit reports.
* Ensuring assignments are completed on time and within budget.
This is a varied and client-facing role with excellent scope for development.
About You
You’ll be a confident and motivated audit professional who enjoys leading assignments and working directly with clients.
You will:
* Be ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent)
* Have experience working in an audit-focused role within a UK accountancy practice
* Possess strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
* Be confident delivering audits from planning through to completion
* Have excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* Be able to mentor and support junior team members effectively
* Enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
