Radiographic Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Radiology departments at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This position is for a radiology assistant to join our expert teams within the Radiology department. The main base site will be the Community Sites – Redcar Primary Care Hospital, East Cleveland Hospital, Guisborough Hospital and One Life Centre (Middlesbrough). The post may require occasional rotation between all South Tees NHS Hospital sites. The role incorporates a 7‑day working week with shift pattern.
Main duties will include assisting patients throughout their time within the department, supporting Radiographers in maintaining an efficient daily work list, managing patient workflow and handling service user queries and patient appointments using Radiology IT systems.

The Trust has a designated regional major trauma centre with a 24‑hour acute admissions unit and specialised services in cancer, neurosciences, spinal injuries, cardiology and renal medicine.
Although the successful candidate will be employed by STNHSFT, there will be an expectation of collaborative working across the Tees Valley in the future should the need arise. However, this role is primarily for STNHSFT Plain Film services. The successful candidate will join the James Cook Plain Film roster.
