We are looking to appoint enthusiastic, motivated, and compassionate Band 5 Diagnostic Radiographers to join our busy and supportive Radiology Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for newly qualified radiographers or those early in their career to consolidate and develop their clinical skills across a broad range of imaging environments while delivering high-quality, patient‑centred care.
You will work as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing a comprehensive diagnostic imaging service across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and GP pathways.
Our Radiology Department provides a full range of diagnostic imaging services and plays a vital role in supporting clinical decision-making across the Trust. We are committed to delivering safe, responsive, and compassionate imaging services while supporting staff development and wellbeing.

Main duties of the job
Undertake a wide range of general diagnostic radiographic examinations in line with departmental protocols and current legislation.
Deliver safe, high‑quality, patient‑focused imaging while ensuring compliance with IR(ME)R and radiation protection principles.
Assess patients and adapt radiographic techniques to meet individual clinical and physical needs.
Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent service delivery.
Participate in rota‑based working including evenings, weekends, and on‑call duties, as required by the service.
Support the supervision and education of student radiographers and contribute to training activities.
Maintain accurate radiological records using RIS and PACS systems following appropriate training.

Job responsibilities
BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification
HCPC registration (or eligible to register prior to commencement)
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to high standards of patient care and professional practice
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
NHS experience (including through clinical placement)
Experience in general radiography including A&E, mobiles, or theatres
Interest in ongoing professional development and service improvement

* Good self‑organiser, able to work under own initiative within proficiencies achieved
* Have the skills to supervise, instruct and train student radiographers and assistant practitioners on placement
* Possess developed judgement and decision‑making skills and be reflective thinking in outlook
* Well motivated and has enthusiasm to develop professionally
