and main responsibilities
1. Coordinate safe and timely admissions, transfers and discharges.
2. Maintain real-time bed information using Trust IT systems.
3. Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth patient movement.
4. Allocate beds according to patient needs and service priorities.
5. Provide and support daily performance and situation reports.
6. Manage incoming admissions to reduce pressure in key areas such as the Emergency Department.
7. Communicate effectively with staff and escalate issues as needed.
8. Support infection prevention and control processes.
9. Assist with staff training, induction and administrative tasks.
10. Take part in audits and service improvement work.
11. Keep accurate and up-to-date records in line with Trust policy.

12. Able to demonstrate good negotiation skills where issues could cause conflict in a constantly changing environment.
