About the Role:
• As a Physics Teacher, you will deliver the national curriculum with a focus on engaging, clear, and accessible lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
• You will teach both full classes and support targeted students in smaller groups or 1:1 sessions.
• You will inspire curiosity in the physical sciences and help students build strong foundational understanding and critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality Physics lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
• Provide targeted support to students struggling with core concepts in Physics.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly, adapting your approach to ensure continued academic growth.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the wider science department to deliver a cohesive and dynamic curriculum.
What Makes You a Great Fit for This Role:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Science or Physics.
• A strong background in Physics, with the ability to teach across other science disciplines if needed.
• A genuine passion for Physics and a commitment to helping students succeed.
• Experience working with secondary school students in classroom or tutoring settings.
• Confidence delivering lessons to both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 learners.
• An enhanced DBS check (can be processed through Smile Education).
• A proactive, reflective, and collaborative teaching approach.
