Learning Support Worker – Swindon
£14.50 per hour, Monday to Friday, term‑time only (full‑time and part‑time roles available).
Role Overview
As a Learning Support Worker, you will support children with learning disabilities in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. Working closely with teachers and other professionals, you will provide 1:1 and small group support, helping students thrive academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to students with a range of learning disabilities
* Assist with classroom activities, lesson delivery, and behaviour management
* Support students with personal care and mobility needs, where required
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
What We're Looking For
* Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
* Knowledge of Makaton, PECS, or other communication tools
* Relevant qualifications in education or health & social care
