SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Behaviour Support Location: Manchester (M11) Start Date: September Contract: Supply / Long‑Term Opportunity Rate: Competitive, paid weekly Are you a confident and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant with strong behaviour management skills? Our supply agency is looking for a dedicated individual to join a welcoming school in Manchester (M11), providing 1:1 behaviour support for a pupil with additional needs. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful, lasting difference to a child’s progress, confidence, and overall school experience. The Role Working closely with teaching staff and the school’s SEN team, you will: Provide individualised 1:1 support for a pupil with behavioural and social‑emotional needs Use effective de-escalation and positive behaviour strategies Support classroom learning, emotional regulation, and daily routines Encourage independence, engagement, and resilience Follow and adapt support based on the pupil’s personalised plan and targets Your input will play a key role in helping the pupil feel understood, supported, and able to thrive both academically and socially. What We're Looking For We welcome applications from candidates who have: Experience in a school-based setting (essential) Strong behaviour management and excellent resilience A calm, patient, and supportive approach Understanding of SEN/SEMH needs A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE, TA qualification, Psychology degree) – preference.
