A bit about the role

As a Therapeutic Residential Worker, you’ll help create stability, build trust and support emotional growth. Your understanding of trauma and how past experiences influence behaviour will guide you as you respond with patience, curiosity and consistency. You'll work closely with mental health professionals to help embed therapeutic practises that strengthen resilience, encourage positive relationships and promote healing.

This is a role that asks for empathy, reflection and commitment, and offers the chance to create genuine, lasting change for children who deserve security and hope.

About the service

Our newly refurbished 4 bed trauma informed home in Ryton provides a safe, nurturing space for children with EBD needs. Three young people currently live in the home, each with their own story and individual support plans shaped by therapeutic approach.

How you’ll help to create brighter futures

* Use trauma-informed practice and advanced de-escalation skills to manage challenging situations
