Plumbing & Gas Trainer/Assessor - Full Time

Based in Cambridge

Salary: £29,770 - £34,600 per annum

Are you an experienced professional in the Plumbing and Gas industry looking for a rewarding new challenge? Do you have a passion for mentoring the next generation of skilled workers? If so, we'd love to hear from you!

We are seeking a dedicated Plumbing & Gas Trainer/Assessor to join our team full-time. In this vital role, you'll support apprentices throughout their training journey, ensuring they gain the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to succeed in their careers.

About the Role:

As a Trainer/Assessor, you'll work closely with apprentices, employers, and our teaching staff to guide learners from start to successful completion of their programmes. Your main duties will include:

* Delivering high-quality 1:1 and small group training sessions
* Conducting workplace and college-based assessments
* Leading regular progress reviews with apprentices and employers
* Coordinating and preparing apprentices for End Point Assessment
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers

This role includes agile working - while regular college attendance and workplace visits are required, admin and planning tasks can be completed from home, with your line manager's agreement.

What We're Looking For:

* Significant, hands-on experience in the Plumbing & Gas industry (Level 3 qualification preferred)
* Experience of coaching, mentoring, or training in a professional setting
* Ideally, you'll have assessing and IQA qualifications - but don't worry if not, as training can be provided
* Strong planning, communication, and IT skills
* A full driving licence and use of a vehicle (business mileage reimbursed)
* A positive, flexible attitude and a team-focused approach

Familiarity with Apprenticeship Standards and End Point Assessment is a bonus, though full training will be given to the right candidate.

Why Join Us?

We value our staff and offer a wide range of benefits including:

* Generous annual leave plus bank holidays
* Excellent pension scheme
* Free gym membership and discounted classes
* BUPA Health Expenses Cash Plan
* Free on-site parking
* Employee Assistance Programme
* Exclusive staff discounts at high street and online retailers
* Ongoing staff development and CPD opportunities

Join us and help shape the future of the Plumbing and Gas industry-while enjoying a fulfilling role that offers great flexibility and real job satisfaction.

Apply today and make a difference in someone's future.
