Feeder Forehearth Specialist (Engineer)

Role description
Operate feeder and forehearth equipment to ensure that glass containers can be produced as effectively as possible.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in establishing and maintaining efficient operation of the feeder and forehearth equipment during the job change process.
* Carry out maintenance work on feeders and forehearths to maintain efficient operation.
* Respond to any container defects detected in hot and cold end and make necessary changes to feeder and forehearth equipment to minimise the occurrence of container defects.
* Identify any malfunctions with the feeder and forehearth, repair if possible or refer to necessary personnel to minimise downtime.
Required skills / qualifications:
* Ability to work with feeder and forehearth equipment.
* Understanding of forehearth operation, maintenance, and equipment.
* Excellent engineering skills and initiative.
* Computer literate with good oral and written communication skills.
* Have a good understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Tools and continuous improvement.
* Have an awareness of relevant Health & Safety and Hygiene Regulations.
