We are delighted to be recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for an exciting opportunity at a brand-new SEND school site in Irthlingborough, part of a highly regarded and supportive multi-academy trust specialising in SEND provision.
This role is ideal for an experienced HLTA who is passionate about making a genuine difference to the lives of young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. The school supports secondary-aged pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, and behavioural challenges, and places a strong emphasis on relationships, regulation, and positive outcomes.
As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting learning both in and out of the classroom. Responsibilities will include delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher, leading small group and 1:1 interventions, supporting pupils with emotional regulation, and working closely with teaching staff, therapists, and pastoral teams. You will also contribute to behaviour support strategies and help create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where pupils can thrive.

The ideal candidate will have:
1. HLTA status or equivalent experience
2. Proven experience supporting SEND and/or SEMH pupils
