This Level 2 Engineering Apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and learning new skills. You’ll gain real industry experience while earning and working towards a recognised qualification.
Duties
* Assist in the assembly of R&D installations, ranging from small test rigs to medium-scale systems
* Support in daily operations across all aspects of R&D including builds, testing, and setup
* Help the team in the design-build process—including layout setup, parts handling, test runs, data collection, and characterisation of different systems
* Apply basic engineering and scientific principles—including measurements, calculations, and graphical techniques
* Help maintain workshop safety, cleanliness, and equipment readiness following company procedures
* Set a strong example in timekeeping, teamwork, and attention to detail
* Support the fabrication and assembly of prototypes using tools and techniques such as FDM 3D printing, SLS printing, CNC machining and desktop PCB etching and cutting tools

Salary and Terms
* Salary: £15,704 per year
* Working Week: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm (30 minutes break)
* Duration: 18 months
* Hours: 37 hours per week

Potential full-time employment for the right candidate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Pre-employment checks. Upon a successful offer of employment, the company completes digitalised right-to-work checks and DBS applications via an external provider - Matrix Screening. The company also completes an internal online social media search, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance.
