SEN Teacher – Neath
THE POSITION:
Are you a trained and experienced SEN teacher with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs?
The successful candidate will be working with students with behavioural difficulties and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, so prior experience within this field is essential.

VACANCY DETAILS:
1. Location: Neath
2. Position: SEN Teacher
3. Setting: SEMH Primary
4. Contract: Temporary
5. Hours: full-time, 8:20am – 4pm
6. Start Date: ASAP ( September 2023)
7. Pay Rate: £ per day
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
8. A level of understanding/experience in childcare and special educational needs setting would be advantageous.
9. Qualified Teacher Status.
10. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year – Prospero can provide this.
11. GCSE or equivalent, Level 2 English and Maths Qualifications (C or above)
ABOUT YOU:
12. You must be resilient and have the ability to deescalate challenging behaviour
13. Ability to recognise the needs of individuals and deliver the relevant and effective teaching
14. Have high expectations for the staff and pupils and ensure these are delivered and achieved
15. You will be able to manage staff members and support workers
16. Plan and deliver curriculum ensuring it is appropriate to the class/individual
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
17. Hold Right to Work in the UK
18. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
19. Provide two professional references
