Our client is a forward-thinking, fast-growing organisation supplying a full range of environmental and site services to the construction sector. Their offering spans waste management, concrete supply and a wide variety of materials, tools, and site solutions. Acting as a centralised, technology driven model, they connect construction businesses with an extensive network of service partners—simplifying procurement and improving operational efficiency. With revenue set to reach £15 million this year and ambitious plans to achieve £20 million by the end of 2025, our client is investing heavily in customer experience, operational excellence, and a best-in-class commercial team. Their mission is clear: reduce inefficiencies across the industry and reshape the customer journey by delivering a seamless, value-adding service for both customers and suppliers. The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the next phase of growth—responsible for generating new revenue, forming strategic partnerships, and bringing in high-value clients. The role will be working from hom with the occasional visit to their offices in North London. Key Responsibilities: 1. New Business Generation * Proactively identify and engage potential clients across the construction sector. * Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities * Lead discovery conversations, understand client needs, and position our client’s full service offering effectively. 2. Sales Growth & Conversion * Produce compelling proposals, quotes, and presentations tailored to customer requirements. * Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to signed agreement. 3. Strategic Relationship Building * Establish strong relationships with decision-makers across construction firms, main contractors, and developers. * Represent our client at industry events, meetings, and networking opportunities to elevate brand awareness. * Collaborate closely with the Head of Growth to refine and execute sales strategies. 4. Cross-Department Collaboration * Work with Operations and Account Management teams to ensure seamless client onboarding. * Share insights, market feedback, and emerging trends to support wider business improvement and innovation. 5. Market & Industry Awareness * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the construction and waste management landscape. * Monitor competitor activity and evolving customer needs to identify new opportunities. * Use data-driven insights to support forecasting, planning, and strategic decision-making. The Candidate: * Demonstrable field sales experience within the waste management industry * Proven track record of securing and developing new accounts. * Strong communicator with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels. * Target-driven, proactive, and commercially minded. * Ambitious, growth-focused mindset with a desire to progress. * Excellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple opportunities concurrently. * A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
