Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Coding Tutor for children aged 5-17. The ideal candidate will inspire young learners to explore the world of coding through engaging and interactive lessons. This role requires a strong understanding of coding concepts, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with children and their parents. The tutor will create a supportive learning environment that fosters creativity and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver coding lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
* Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on activities and projects.
* Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.
* Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and collaboration among students.
* Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any areas for improvement.
* Stay updated on the latest trends in coding education and incorporate new techniques into lessons.
* Maintain an organised record of student attendance, progress, and achievements.
Skills
Mastery of one or more instruments:
Game programming: Scratch, ScratchJR, Blockly, Unity3D + C#, Java, Python for Minecraft programming.
Mobile app development: App Inventor, Phone Gap, Xamarin, Android studio, Xcode, Thunkable
Programming languages: C/C++, Java, Swift or Object-C, Python, PHP, JavaScript
Robotics: Little Bits, Makey Makey, Arduino etc.
Web development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Tilda, Wix, Wordpress
Video blogs
Animation knowledge: Adobe Animate
