Job summary
Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System (ICS) are offering a new and exciting secondment opportunity for two highly motivated, enthusiastic and inspiring individuals to work alongside existing infection control teams working in acute hospital services and community settings. These are new development posts that provide an opportunity to rotate between different system areas. The placements will include secondary and primary care settings and care homes. Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System (ICS) is a partnership of health and care organisations that work together to provide joined up care across Nottinghamshire.
Main duties of the job
As a registered health care professional you will work with the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Teams in a development post, to develop your knowledge and skills in infection prevention and the control of infections. The IPC team are committed to the prevention of avoidable infections and ensuring that national and local agendas are incorporated into the clinical setting to support the delivery of high standards of care for our patients. The post holder must have a keen interest in IPC, IPC link Practitioner. During the secondment you will be supported with and involved in a small quality improvement project looking at improving urinary tract infection diagnosis and management. This role offers the successful candidate a great opportunity to share in the culture of learning, continuous improvement and promotion of good practice across various specialties and services to support with improving the quality and safety of patient care.
