About The Role

For informal enquiries, please contact Dr Chris Twine at Chris.Twine@warwick.ac.uk

As Executive Office Manager, you will play a pivotal role at the heart of the University’s leadership, supporting the Vice-Chancellor and the University Executive Board to deliver on their strategic ambitions. Reporting daily to the Vice-Chancellor’s Executive Officer, you will work closely with them to ensure seamless operations and proactive support for the University’s senior leaders.

This is an opportunity to lead a medium-sized team providing high-level executive and administrative support in a dynamic, high-profile environment. You’ll be instrumental in shaping processes, enhancing office operations, and driving continuous improvement. A key part of your role will be leading your team through periods of change—fostering resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement while maintaining the highest standards of service.

This role offers the chance to work alongside senior leadership on initiatives that impact the entire University, building strong professional networks within and beyond the institution. Unlike similar roles elsewhere, this post places you at the intersection of strategy, operations, and leadership, providing both variety and influence. If you’re looking to make a meaningful contribution within an institution that values professional development, collaboration, and excellence, this is an outstanding opportunity.

About You

We are seeking an experienced leader and administrator who thrives in fast-paced, complex environments. With a strong track record of leading medium-sized teams through change, you foster resilience, adaptability, and continuous improvement, inspiring others to achieve high standards even in challenging circumstances. Your proven ability to manage high-performing teams equips you to support individuals and drive results.

You are highly organised, solutions-focused, and adept at building strong professional relationships at executive level. You work confidently with senior leadership and are comfortable reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor’s Executive Officer, keeping them informed while collaborating on priorities and issues. Your ability to juggle complex diary management, event coordination, and sensitive communications with tact and discretion sets you apart. You combine excellent interpersonal skills with sound judgement, diplomacy, and the ability to influence others appropriately. Above all, you are committed to delivering outstanding professional support, inspiring those around you to uphold the highest standards.

For further information regarding the skills required for this role please see the personal specification section of the attached job description.
