Proven experience in backend development with strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js, and familiarity with relevant frameworks and libraries. Solid understanding of database design, optimisation, and management using SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
Hands-on knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including deployment, monitoring, and scaling of backend services. Strong skills in writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, with the ability to conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality and consistency.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within agile development teams, collaborating closely with product managers, frontend developers, and other stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying technical challenges and proposing scalable, maintainable solutions.
Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure system reliability and rapid delivery of features. Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is advantageous.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical team members. A passion for innovation, continuous learning, and contributing to a vibrant, connected company culture.
