* Test Infrastructure Management* Maintain the test infrastructure, including application and SQL servers, to maximize system availability for development, testing, and training.* Ensure infrastructure is actively monitored and can be rapidly recovered in case of software or hardware failure.* Manage departmental assets supporting the test infrastructure, such as Software Test Benches, Virtual PC hosts, and ancillary systems (e.g., Offline Monaco workstations).* Technical Issue Resolution* Proactively investigate and resolve technical issues that impede installation, support, or use of Elekta Software Products.* Troubleshoot issues during software deployment and provide detailed feedback to development teams.* Provide user support to overcome issues with the Software Test Infrastructure.* Software Deployment & Change Management* Schedule and perform required changes (installations, upgrades, downgrades, removals) to systems and supporting databases to maximize availability.* Ensure all changes to test systems are recorded and baseline configurations are maintained.* Rigorously verify system functionality and readiness after interventions or significant software changes by completing clinical workflows.* Collaboration & Relationship Building* Form excellent working relationships with DevOps, IT, software development, and automation teams within Elekta.* Act as the first recipient of new DevOps tools and drive their broader rollout across multiple facilities.* Facilitate rapid and accurate deployment of software test hosts and related infrastructure.* Adoption of New Technologies* Drive adoption of new Elekta developments in software installation and distribution, particularly using the Elekta Nexus Framework.* Support and develop opportunities for increased usage and overnight testing in the System Verification Emulator Environment (both software and hardware).* Innovation & Continuous Improvement* Provide innovative solutions and recommendations for server infrastructure management and proactively implement improvements.* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to initiate and drive positive change.* Ability to form effective working relationships with cross-functional teams.* Ability to work independently and effectively interact with colleagues across departments, business areas, and regions.* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.* Strong proficiency with:* All Microsoft Server/Workstation operating systems* Microsoft SQL Server* Linux operating systems* Citrix Metaframe/XenApp, especially in a domain environment* ILO or equivalent setup* Familiarity with Microsoft Hyper-V architecture for virtualization.* Experience providing technical support on software products and associated hardware* Knowledge of tools and methods for autonomous software installation and deployment.* Understanding of TLS encryption.* Cloud & Virtualization* Familiarity with the Microsoft Azure platform.* Excellent PC and networking technical skills.* Proven talent for troubleshooting problems across all aspects of the IT environment.* Working from our Crawley hub 5 days a week ( due to nature of the role)* Up to 25 paid vacation days (plus bank holidays)* Holiday Purchase Scheme* Private Medical Insurance* Attractive Employer Pension Contribution Package* Cycle to work scheme* Life Assurance* Onsite subsidized restaurant, offering budget-friendly dining* Love electric (Electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme)
