Reports to: Senior Water Project Manager
Location: Reading area with travel to Southern sites
The Opportunity
We are fast becoming one of the UK’s top NAVs, and to facilitate this growth, we are recruiting a Water Project Manager within our NAV sector. This role will oversee the safe and compliant installation of water infrastructure for new residential and commercial developments. You will work alongside top UK developers and their self-lay providers, supporting projects from early design concepts through to delivery and completion. The position offers the flexibility of being home-based and managing your own schedule. The ideal candidate will have experience in the utilities sector, be innovative, and eager to support business improvements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management and Coordination
2. Oversee the safe, compliant installation of Leep Water infrastructure in line with Water Regulations, Industry, and Safety Standards.
3. Manage projects once handed over from Business Development, ensuring smooth transition and effective execution.
4. Manage project snagging works to ensure satisfactory completion.
5. Align works with Construction Programmes and provide regular updates.
6. Hold monthly meetings with the Senior Water Project Manager to discuss ongoing schemes and address issues.
Process Implementation and Regulatory Compliance
1. Implement NAV water processes for Delivery and Regulation departments, including managing Water Adoption Agreements.
2. Ensure SLP/ICP designs meet Water Industry Regulations for full design approval.
3. Review design variations and assist as needed.
4. Conduct regular Risk Assessments and POWRAs per company policies.
5. Gather regulatory documentation from clients, such as REG 5, Water Efficiency, Water Adoption Agreements, etc.
Stakeholder and Quality Assurance
1. Coordinate with Business Development Managers during project handover.
2. Serve as the first escalation point for ICP/SLP partners and customers.
3. Provide guidance to SLPs, ICPs, Developers, and contractors throughout projects.
4. Verify that contractors have relevant accreditations (e.g., WIRS).
Site Supervision and Quality Assurance
1. Conduct regular site visits to audit and document infrastructure works, ensuring compliance.
2. Attend commissioning works on-site to advise and document issues.
3. Manage procurement and timely installation of meters.
Reporting and Asset Handover
1. Produce progress reports for the Operations Team.
2. Coordinate with Asset Management for timely asset handovers with all data.
About You
* Experience in the clean water industry.
* Knowledge of working with DNOs / IDNOs and Self Lay Providers.
* Understanding of NAV industry and Water Design Process.
* Knowledge of water regulatory standards and compliance.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
