Why this job matters

In this role, you will manage the cultural change programmes in BT Digital. This includes supporting and enabling the rollout of BT cultural behaviours, alongside the management and rollout of the Digital systemic change programme. These ‘How’ initiatives are fundamental components of the overall Digital Change Programme, which seeks to position Digital as a universally acknowledged enabler for BT and its customers and an inspiration and driver of innovation. The cultural change programme Digital seeks is a role model of the BT behaviours, whilst also developing a strong engineering culture.


What you’ll be doing

The Senior Transformation Manager drives the cultural transformation initiatives, overseeing conceptualisation through to delivery and implementation.
1. Partners with and influences stakeholders at all levels, particularly executive and senior leaders, to gain buy in and establish accountability, and input to plans to ensure success.
2. Engages colleagues and customers in all aspects of the cultural transformation programmes.
3. Mentors, coaches, and manages the virtual team of coaches to develop current and future team capabilities and ensures the cultural change groups are engaged and successful.
4. Owns deliverables driving real, progressive and ambitious transformation or step-change as opposed to incremental change. Leads the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities identified through the systemic change groups
5. Identifies and removes obstacles to the delivery of the cultural change, acting as a point of escalation and using escalation paths where necessary.
6. Ensures coherence and integration with the BT Behaviours rollout and other changes, and leads the coordination of Digital engagement actions and responses.
7. Leads the analysis of complex data, including interpreting and recognising trends and patterns, comprehension of complex information, and identifying additional data sources or best practices to help devise solutions.
8. Leads the creation and implementation of change management strategies and plans that maximise employee adoption and usage.


Experience you'll have

* Significant experience in transformation, and understands both historical and emerging approaches, methods and insight in the professional discipline of transformation and change management and can bring these quickly to bear on the strategic transformation.
* Track record of delivering change in complex environments through a focus on people and results.
* Is an excellent collaborator: Builds great teams that are often ‘virtual’ in nature and often inclusive of people from other parts of BT Group.
* A confident and engaging leader who role models through their own behaviour and actions, the relevance of leadership behaviours for customers, people and organisation, embedding the change by inspiring, coaching, holding themselves and others to account Digital
* Experience in change management, process management and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Coaching experience and experience with systemic cultural change are desirable but not essential.
