General Manager – Portadown Site
About the role: The General Manager will oversee the Portadown site, including Toyota, Nissan, AutoSelect, and Renault dealerships, as well as group functions such as Valet and Sales Administration. The role focuses on driving performance in customer satisfaction, sales, profit, and quality.
Responsibilities
* Strategically review performance across assigned dealerships and identify future trends and opportunities.
* Agree and implement departmental budgets and dealership objectives, monitor performance against the budget, and take corrective action as needed.
* Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers, customers, and staff teams, exceeding expectations.
* Monitor management team performance using key measures, coach teams to achieve targets and deliver outstanding customer care.
* Manage the Portadown site facilities, equipment, and ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and health and safety standards.
* Collaborate with sales and aftersales departments to meet manufacturer and financial targets.
* Drive continuous improvement culture and inspire teams to exceed targets.
Qualifications & Experience
* Business leadership with a positive, proactive attitude.
* Confident communicator capable of inspiring teams.
* Extensive knowledge of the motor industry.
* Experience in people management and team building.
* Experience using MS Office packages.
* Experience working with DMS (Dealer Management Systems).
* Substantial experience leading teams in a large motor‑industry organisation.
